He will team up with 23’s Manager Sheldon Baptiste ahead of the 2024/25 campaign to prepare for the squad’s newest adventure, in which they will compete in the Thames Valley Premier League Premier Division.

The Cityzens will be playing in Step 7 of the Football Pyramid this season, alongside local teams around the Thames Valley such as Maidenhead Town and Newbury Town. They will also have the chance to gain silverware along the way, participating in the Berkshire Trophy Centre Senior Cup.

Our Under 23’s side assists in the development of talented players and provides a direct pathway into the First Team, therefore Mimi’s arrival comes at a positive and crucial moment.

Under 23’s Manager, Sheldon Baptiste, discussed the importance of his arrival:

“The power of social media. That’s how I came across Mimi. He tweeted that he was looking for an opportunity to coach this year while he undertakes his UEFA B coaching licence.

As someone who is a great promoter in giving players a first class feel in any environment that I create, I reached out and explained my intentions for the season and how he fits into what it is I have been entrusted to do. Our footballing philosophies align and I’m happy to be assisting him in achieving his personal goal.

I’m pleased to have Mimi alongside me as the 23’s Assistant Manager for the season.”

Welcome to the Rivermoor, Mimi!
