Charlie is a talented, young right-back who is a product of Club Partner John Madejski Academy’s Football Performance Programme making his full debut in men’s football this season.

Some of our fan base will probably recognise Charlie from last season’s FA Youth Cup Campaign in which he featured as well as making an appearance off the bench in our Southern Combination Challenge Cup Semi-Final away to Camberley Town.

After putting pen-to-paper we spoke to our new signing and when we asked him why he signed for the Cityzens his answer was ‘Our ambitions align and i’ll be surrounded by a great group of players and staff, which I look forward to working with’.

We’re very pleased to have secured the services of a young talent like Charlie and are very excited to see how he gets on this season.

First Team Manager, Simon Johnson had this to say upon signing our latest recruit:

“Charlie is another product of the JMA. He tested the water with us in the cup semi final last year and put in an outstanding performance.

 

He’s aggressive, physical, young and hungry and has been performing well throughout pre-season.
