Here at Reading City Football Club we always love to see our players progressing through the ranks.  We are therefore delighted to announce that Bobbi Emery who is a product of our Club Partner John Madejski Academy’s Football Performance Programme has signed for the First Team having played for our Under 23s last season.

Bobbi is a young, talented winger and we’re very excited to see him continue to develop in the First Team.

Some of our fanbase may also remember Bobbi from last season’s FA Youth Cup campaign, he scored a hat-trick in our opening game of our campaign which saw us beat Winslow United 8-0 in the Preliminary Round.

We asked Bobbi why he decided to sign for the first team and here’s what he told us “It’s a good environment to be in”.

After putting pen-to-paper we got the thoughts of Simon Johnson and here’s what he had to say about Bobbi progressing into his camp:

“Bobbi has been on our radar for a while through the JMA programme and represented the 23’s last year.

Don’t be fooled by his youthful looks, he is a winger with bags of talent and is a nightmare to play against with his excellent first touch and dribbling ability.

I look forward to integrating him into the group properly this season.

Welcome Bobbi”
