Only days after some of our youngsters featured in a combined squad of Reading City and Club Partner John Madejski Academy Football Performance Programme representatives to get our FA Youth Cup campaign underway with with 4-3 win against Marlow in the Extra Preliminary Round. Our Under 18s will compete for the Under 19s Championship at the prestigious Royal Pre-Season Cup.

The Royal Pre-Season Cup is a two-day 11v11 international tournament welcoming teams from the USA, Scandinavia, and across the UK, presented in partnership with Surf Soccer, Global Sports Events and Royal Sports and Events.

They have been seeded in Group A where they’ll play Latvian based  Riga FC and Xcel Performance who are from the South Coast.

The tournament will once again take place at the world-renowned Bradfield College, Reading against the backdrop of their stunning setting in the Berkshire countryside.

Bradfield College is regarded as one of the best schools for Football in England.
