ABOUT THE OPPOSITION

Binfield FC, founded in 1892, is one of the oldest football clubs, initially comprising local workers. The club enjoyed early success in the Ascot and District League, winning the Fielden Cup multiple times. During WWII, they joined the Great Western Combination League, winning the championship in 1947, and later moved to the Reading and District League, where they spent 40 years.

The club moved to Hill Farm Lane in 1980 and saw further success, winning titles in the Charrington Chiltonian League. A merger with Binfield Forest FC in 2001 expanded the club, fostering youth development. Over time, Binfield FC upgraded facilities and achieved FA Charter status.

Notably, they won the FTL Hellenic League Division 1 East in 2008-09 and reached the FA Vase Final at Wembley in 2021. Despite a challenging 2023/24 season, they narrowly escaped relegation after a mid-season management change.
