For the first time since the 2019/20 season, our Under 23s will be taking part in the Charles Twelftree County Cup, which involves Step 7 and 8 clubs around Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
Shrivenham currently feature in the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League, following their resignation from the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division in Step 5. This will be the first time the two sides meet, with this fixture being Shrivenham’s debut in the competition.
ABOUT THE OPPOSITION
Shrivenham FC were formed in 1900, and began in the North Berks League, gaining promotion to Division Two following the 1990/91 campaign. They went up through the ranks once again in 1994/95 after winning the playoffs, moving up into Division One. Earning the title of Champions in 1997/98 and 2000/01, Shrivenham eventually moved to Division One West of the Hellenic League.
Three seasons later, they earned promotion and subsequently joined the Premier Division, winning the title by a single point, with Trowbridge Town narrowly losing out.
Despite being relegated down to Division One West in 2015, Shrivenham persevered and were able to be promoted again in 2017/18 due to finishing in a runners-up position.
In 2023, Shrivenham had to make the difficult decision to voluntarily resign, making the move over to the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League in Step 7. This division runs parallel with the Thames Valley Premier League Premier Division, where our Under 23s feature.
