First Team
CCFL Premier Division North Tue 19 November The Rivermoor
Reading City
Risborough Rangers
P-P

It’s back to back footballing action here at the Rivermoor as Johnson’s Cityzens welcome Risborough Rangers to RG30 tomorrow night following Saturday’s 3-1 win against Berks County.

ABOUT THE OPPOSITION

Risborough Rangers Football Club, founded in 1970, began as a youth team and steadily grew, adding teams across different age groups. They moved to their current ground, Windsors, and joined the South Midlands League in 1989. The club experienced both highs and lows over the years, with multiple promotions, cup victories, and runners-up finishes. Key achievements include winning the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup in 2016 and gaining promotion to the Premier Division of the Spartan South Midlands League in 2021. Despite setbacks, Risborough has remained competitive and continues to develop its football programmes.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Risborough Rangers only joined the Combined Counties Football League Premier Division North campaign last season. Therefore, Simon Johnson’s side have only faced them on two occasions with either side earning a point both times.

City come in to tomorrow evening’s game on the back of a 3-1 win here at the Rivermoor on Saturday in which they faced Berks County in a first competitive meeting.

Risborough Rangers come into tomorrow evening’s game on the back of a 1-0 win at home to Burnham on Saturday, but there away form has seen them only secure one win on the road all season with recent defeats against Berks County & Virginia Water.
