Our Under 18s are back under the lights here at the Rivermoor on Tuesday evening as they face Windsor & Eton in Allied Youth Football League Central Division action.

It will be great to see our youngsters take to the pitch here at the Rivermoor for the first time in 49 days, as they seemingly get the last bite of the cherry when it comes to midweek allocations here at the Rivermoor, the hub of Reading’s Football Community.

Tuesday night’s game will our Under 18s final game of 2024 and we’re all hoping they can end the year on a high.

ABOUT THE OPPOSITION

Windsor & Eton Football Club has been revived after the original club was wound up in 2011 due to financial issues. The new club, formed in 2023 as a Community Interest Company (CIC), aims to serve the local community and has been granted a lease for the historic Stag Meadow ground. Starting from the lower levels of the football pyramid, the club seeks to build success through volunteer support, community engagement, and strong management. The goal is to put Windsor & Eton back on the football map while fostering local pride and involvement.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

We have already met the Royalists this season which saw our youngsters come away with a 1-4 win at Stag Meadow and will therefore be hoping to do the double over them this evening.

City come into this game in very good form, they are unbeaten in their last three games and most recently picked up three points in last week’s dramatic derby night win on the road to Thatcham Town which finished 1-2 after two goals from Lucas Taplin either side of half-time.

Windsor & Eton come into this game still in search of their first win of the season, they most recently suffered a 1-3 defeat at home to league leaders Binfield and will be looking to put valuable points on the table as they currently sit rock bottom.
