Here at Reading City Football Club, we always love to see our players progressing through the ranks and as a club are committed to providing youngsters with a fantastic pathway into senior football starting with Children aged 4 to 7 on Sunday Mornings at our Development Centre to our Under 18s.
As a club we have a proven record of developing players to reach their full potential and we are equally proud to be a stepping stone in the pathway for our youngsters who are exceptionally talented.
Aarnav has represented the Cityzens for the past four seasons where he has played in the East Berkshire Football Alliance, Oxfordshire Youth Football League and most recently the Junior Premier League.
We spoke to our Under 13s Junior Premier League Manager, Simon Eade who had this to say on Aarnav signing for Oxford United.
“Aarnav has been with me for 4 seasons now and has had various clubs interested in him lately. He’s a great lad and footballer and I wish him all the luck on his new journey”.
Club Chairman, Martin Law had this to say:
“On behalf of everyone at Reading City Football Club, I’d like to congratulate Aarnav and wish him all the luck in the world as he embarks on a new and exciting journey with Sky Bet Championship outfit Oxford United’s Academy.
Aarnav has been with us for four seasons so this is a very proud day for our Youth Academy. Week in, week out our managers, coaches, parents and the players themselves give 100% in showing up for matches and training and supporting one another and it’s great to see the hard work recognised when a player is given the oppurtunity to progress into a higher standard of football for their development.”
