The Brickability Group Foundation is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting communities across the UK, with a focus on charities and youth & environmental projects.

In October 2024, they launched the Big Sport Ballot with an initial £20,000 fund and invited employees of Brickability Group PLC to nominate a youth sports team that they were passionate about. Brickability were blown away by the amount of the nominations they received and very generously doubled their budget to £40,000 in order to reach as many clubs and young people as possible.

Under 23s Manager Sheldon Baptiste nominated his side and as a result the club has been awarded a £500 grant from the Brickability Group Foundation which will go a long way in supporting our Under 23s with funding their facilities to train at, pitch bookings, equipment, kits and much more.

Club Chairman, Martin Law had this to say:

On behalf of everyone at Reading City Football Club, I would like to thank Sheldon for nominating us. In true spirit of our Club Values, he has gone above and beyond.

Our thanks must also go to the Brickability Group Foundation for accepting us, we are truly overwhelmed to have received this vital funding and are extremely grateful for their support.

We also spoke to Under 23s Manager, Sheldon Baptiste following the grant being awarded and here’s what he had to say:

“As a group Brickability have a strong arm when it comes to providing support throughout the communities that we operate in as a business. When I was made aware of this opportunity, Reading City 23’s came to mind straightaway. A club that does wonderful work within its local community while creating a footballing pathway for young footballers to express themselves while developing. The grant will aid and allow for the development to continue.”
