The Junior Premier League  not only gives youngsters the opportunity to face teams right throughout the football pyramid from Aldershot, MK Dons and giants Chelsea, it’s the only grassroots league where you have the option of becoming national champions.

This season saw our youngsters finish 2^nd in their league and as we look ahead to a new season, we’re looking to strengthen our Under 14s.

We are therefore inviting players, who will be 13 or below as of August 31^st and entering Year 9 in September to attend our Open Training Session held here at the Rivermoor Stadium, starting on Wednesday 7^th May 2025 from 18:30 til 20:00 and running  for the next seven consecutive weeks.

By joining Reading City Football Club, your child will embark on a journey to excellence, where they may one day play for our first team.

We offer excellent training facilities with professional and experienced coaches who will assist your child with their development along their football journey.

When your child is also old enough to leave school, we are able to provide an option for post-16 education through our partnership with John Madejski Academy’s Boys’ Football Programme, where players’ may well receive the chance to compete as Reading City in the prestigious FA Youth Cup.

Prospective players should be able to play at a high standard.
