Reading City Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of experienced and talented Striker, Sanchez Parkes.
Sanchez is a local lad, and no stranger to the club having previously played for us during our Highmoor Ibis days.
After impressing for the Mighty Moor during the 2014/15 campaign, which saw him notch eighteen goals as we narrowly missed out on promotion having come second in the Uhlsport Hellenic Football League Premier Division he was awarded a trial with Swindon Town.
Sanchez is probably best known for his time at Binfield, where he scored twice in the final to ensure the Moles were crowned Champions of the Perpetua Press Floodlit Cup against Thatcham Town in 2018.
He has also experienced success playing on Sundays, running out for our friends at FC BAPCO, who in recent years have enjoyed four consecutive Reading & District Sunday League titles and clinched several County Cups and Tilehurst Charity Cups along the way.
Sanchez has also had spells at Beaconsfield Town, Marlow, Wokingham Town and Woodley.
We spoke to First Team Manager, Simon Johnson on Sanchez making a return to the club and here’s what he had to say:
