Are you a dedicated footballer? With a solid playing background?

If the answer is YES, then we are hosting an open training session for players of a good standard as we look to strengthen our Under 18s Allied Counties Youth Football League squad ahead of the new campaign.

The Allied Counties Youth Football League is a flood-lit league, with games taking place midweek. Next season we will compete in the North Division facing opposition from Oxfordshire.

We’re looking for players with:

  • Good technical ability
  • Strong match awareness
  • Experience playing at a competitive level (club, ex-academy or high-level amateur).

The Open Training Session will be held at the Rivermoor Stadium on Saturday 28th June between 09:30 and 11:00.

If you’re confident in your ability to compete, please register your interest by contacting our Under 18s Secretary, John Goodwin via email – Johngreadingcity@gmail.com

Why Reading City?

  • Work with some of the best coaches in the game! Last season our Under 18s competed in the Allied Counties Football League Central Division and were crowned league champions. We also narrowly missed out on a historic treble having reached the Semi-Final of both the Allied Counties Youth Football League Champions Cup and Subsidiary Cup.
  • You may get the chance to compete in the illustrious FA Youth Cup.
  • You may get the oppurtunity to begin your journey into men’s football, last season several of our players represented our First Team as a result of the club’s successful player pathway, which is unmatched locally.

We look forward to hearing from you.
