Reading City Football Club is extremely grateful to the Reading Lions Club CIO, who we’re proud to have a long-standing friendship with for their recent generous donation towards facilities here at the Rivermoor Stadium.

The Rivermoor Stadium is not only the proud home of Reading City Football Club, it’s the hub of Reading’s football community – hosting an average of sixty games a season.

As we approach the start of the season, we’re hard at work ensuring that the Rivermoor Stadium remains a welcoming and vibrant place for all and we’re very pleased to announce that our efforts have been boosted by the generosity of the Reading Lions Club.

As a non-profitable football club, their donation of £400 will help us cover the cost of running and maintaining our facilities here at the Rivermoor Stadium.

Club Chairman, Martin Law had this to say:

“We are incredibly grateful to Reading Lions for their generous donation towards our facilities here at the Rivermoor Stadium. As the proud home of Reading City Football Club and the beating heart of our football community, this support means so much. It’s a testament to the power of local partnerships and the shared pride we all have in our community.”

Sue Mitchell, President of Reading Lions Club CIO had this to say:

“On behalf of everyone at Reading Lions, we really appreciate Reading City allowing us to store our equipment containers at the Rivermoor Stadium. It gave us much pleasure to donate £400 towards the clubs funds as a token of our appreciation.
Although i’m personally not a football enthusiast as the new Reading Lions Club CIO president I do appreciate the work that the club does within the Reading community.”
