This Sunday we are proud to be hosting The Launchpad Berkshire 5s organised by Football in Berkshire and proudly sponsored by Plaion.

The tournament will feature teams from Launchpad, Football in Berkshire and Plaion alongside some of Reading’s biggest businesses such as Jaguar Espresso Systems, KPMG, PwC and Siren Craft Brew, who are all lacing up their football boots to raise money to support the vital work that Launchpad does in preventing homelessness across the Reading area.

Teams participating have had the oppurtunity to design their own kit (shirts, shorts and socks) via Basingstoke-based Serious Sport for the competition and we can’t wait to see the results.

Matches will get underway at 12:00 before the event is wrapped up with presentations from Reading’s first Cityzen, The Worshipful Mayor of Reading, Councillor Alice Mpofu-Coles.

Club Chairman, Martin Law had this to say:

“We are truly honoured to be hosting such a special event here at The Rivermoor Stadium this Sunday. The Launchpad Berkshire 5s is not just a celebration of football, it’s a powerful demonstration of what our community can achieve when we come together for a cause that truly matters. The club’s long-standing partnership with Launchpad reflects our shared commitment to supporting vulnerable people across Reading, and we’re proud to play a part in raising vital funds to help prevent homelessness locally.

With the fantastic efforts of Football in Berkshire, the generous support of Plaion and the enthusiasm of all the teams involved we know this will be a day to remember. We’re especially excited to see the custom-designed kits brought to life by Serious Sport and to welcome everyone to what promises to be an incredible day of football, fundraising, and unity. It’s events like this that truly show the heart of Reading.”
