Ahead of pre-season the management didn’t shy away from their aspirations this season! How would you sum up the summer from the new additions and our performances in pre-season?

We’ve made some good additions over the summer and brought in some good quality and experience. Our performances have been a mixed bag but we’ve always looked hard to beat which is a positive. We will be looking to grow and improve together at every opportunity.

With the club implementing a winning environment and culture, something that was talked a lot about during the break? What can supporters look forward to this season?

Supporters can look forward to watching an experienced side with a lot of quality, but also a group who will do everything they can to get us across the line in each and every game.

With our league campaign starting on the road for the first time since the 2022/23 Season, how do you manage the expectation of the players compared to a home game in front of our faithful, which we’ve been used to in recent years?

Nothing is too different with where we are playing our first fixture, the group will prepare properly for whatever challenge we are faced with. But we are also looking forward to being back at home next week.

We played a part in stopping Burnham reaching the play-off’s at the end of last season, what do you expect from them this evening?

Burnham have recruited well over the summer and have been consistently around the top 6 for a number of seasons now. They have an excellent home record and it’s probably as tough as they come for a first fixture, but we will be ready.

A huge thank you to Simon Johnson for his time talking to us. We wish him and the First Team all the very best this evening.
