It is with a heavy heart that we announce the departure of Mr. Reading City, Eddie Lazarczuk.

The 2025/26 season marks Eddie’s sixth campaign with the club since his return in 2020/21, having first worn the iconic Blue and White during our inaugural 2018/19 campaign. His likeable personality, positive attitude, and versatility on the pitch have endeared him to the City faithful, who have often marvelled at the brilliance of his Delap-esque throw-ins.

With just shy of 150 appearances to his name, we are immensely grateful for Eddie’s dedication and contributions over the years. He leaves the club firmly etched in our history as a key member of the 2023/24 squad that reached the play-offs, lifted the Southern Combination Challenge Cup securing our first senior-level silverware since rebranding as Reading City in 2018 and reached the Second Round Qualifying of the Emirates FA Cup for the first time in our history.
