An instant response following Tuesday night’s defeat, you must be pleased not only with the response but their character to pick themselves up and go again, surely that will pay dividends this season?
“Yes the response in terms of the result is brilliant and exactly what we wanted to achieve together. However we still know we need to be a lot better than what we produced in the first 45, but the players know that and have created an environment where they are constantly challenging each other to be better.”
We seem to have a super sub in Tarps. You were quoted in an interview with Football in Berkshire following his debut against Baffins Milton Rovers that it was ‘most likely a one-off!’ Can we expect to see more magic from the veteran Forward?
“Tarps is playing at the moment due to a lot of injuries in the squad. He’s happy to play when needed for 5/10 minutes here and there but we don’t want to make it a regular occurrence because of the issues with his knee.”
We face Holyport again on Tuesday night at home, how do you prepare for that knowing we have the chance to do the double over an opponent for the first time this season and how do you maintain that winning feeling with four days between games?
