Reading City Football Club is thrilled to announce the return of Pele Hagger.

The experienced Forward joined the Cityzens last season, having previously had spells at Eversley and California, YMCA Reading, Woodley United and the Wycombe Wanderers Academy.

After a fantastic first season in Blue & White, in which he made 29 appearances and notched six goals, he sadly departed RG30 to pursue a football career north of the border.

After a successful spell at Bo’Ness Athletic, who compete in the East of Scotland Football League’s Premier Division, he is returning back to the Rivermoor.

Welcome Home, Pele.

We spoke to a jubilant Simon Johnson about Pele’s return and here’s what the Gaffer had to say:

“Pleasure to have Pele back with us. He was a standout for us last season and we were gutted to lose him over the summer as he pursued his football career in Scotland. He has now moved back to the area and it was an absolute no brainer to bring him back into the squad to boost our attacking options.
Welcome back Pele”
