Reading City Football Club is a proud advocate for women’s football having hosted the home games of local women and girls club, Tilehurst Panthers since 2018.

With the recent announcement that they’ve officially become our Sister Club, this season will be no different as we will once again play host to their games.

Last season, Tilehurst Panthers went undefeated and secured a historic promotion as Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League Division One Champions with an 12-0 win against Procision Oxford Ladies here at the Rivermoor on the final day of the season as well as retaining the Berks & Bucks FA Women’s Trophy.

Having won the league last season, our sister club will now compete at Step 6, playing in the Southern Region Women’s Football League Division One North.

They will start their season with back-to-back home games here at the Rivermoor.

On Sunday 1st September they will begin their Adobe Women’s FA Cup Campaign when they take on Goring United in the First Round Qualifying. Kick Off is 14:00

A week later on Sunday 8th September they will begin their inaugural Southern Region Football League Campaign when they welcome fellow league newcomers Beaconsfield Town to the Rivermoor. Kick Off is 14:00.

Tilehurst Panthers are committed to encouraging as many people as possible to watch women’s football and therefore admission to their games is free.
