ABOUT THE OPPOSITION

North Leigh Football Club, founded in 1908, gained prominence after World War II, winning the Witney and District League Premier Division seven times in the 1950s and excelling in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup. In the 1980s, they secured five consecutive Witney League titles, earning promotion to the Hellenic League. The club enjoyed strong performances, winning the Premier Division title in 2001/02 and retaining it in 2002/03. Despite ground limitations preventing promotion, they had notable FA Vase and FA Cup runs, including reaching the FA Vase last 32 in 2003/04 and a memorable FA Cup run in 2004/05.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

This is the first time that our Under 18s have faced their North Leigh counterparts

North Leigh have had a tough start to their season in which they are competing in the Allied Counties Youth Football League North Division, having conceded 12 goals in their opening two games with a 0-7 defeat to Didcot at home, followed by a 6-0 defeat to Abingdon United away from home.

City however have had an ok start to their season, despite narrowly losing their opening Allied Counties Football League Central Division clash to Binfield there was plenty of positives to take away, which they’ll be looking to build on Tuesday night.
