Coming into this evening’s game Simon Johnson would have been looking for three points after being on the recieving end of a club record defeat to Egham on Saturday. However Ardley United were also looking to turn their form around and not record a third consecutive victory.
Our hosts were pretty much on top from the off and were dictating the game and with nine minutes gone Elliott Osborne-Ricketts was the first name in the referee’s book.
With Ardley dictating the game and pressing well it came as no surprise when they scored the opening goal on the twenty third minute. Anaclet Odhiambo was able to chip Charlie York on his line after a brilliant delivery from Caleb Moir.
Just before the half Ardley would find themselves attracting attention from the referee again as Sam McConnell became the second player of the evening to be booked.
