Getting to the Rivermoor
You can find the Rivermoor Stadium, home to Reading City Football Club and the hub of Reading’s football community at Scours Lane, Tilehurst, Reading, RG30 6AY.
Situated in the heart of West Reading and a short journey from the City Centre, The Rivermoor is ideally located for supporters on matchdays.
As a result, visiting us is extremely simple as our home has excellent links to all transport networks.
Getting here By Road
Post Code for Sat Nav: RG30 6AY.
Leave the M4 at Junction 12 and take the A4 towards Reading.
Then take a left at the first set of traffic lights at Langley Hill, At the top of Langley Hill you’ll come to a roundabout where you’ll see the Water Tower public house on your left-hand side.
Continue straight on over the roundabout and travel through the centre of Tilehurst before taking a right turn into Norcot Road.
This turning is at the crossroads just past the Asda Petrol Station on your left-hand side, continue straight on down Norcot Road and then take a left on to the A329 Oxford Road before taking the first right on to Scours Lane. You’ll see Reading City Football Club sign-posted.
Once you’ve turned on to Scours Lane continue straight on under the railway bridge and then take a right to enter The Rivermoor which is clearly signed.
Parking is available on site here at The Rivermoor at no extra cost on a first come first served basis.
Getting here by Bus
Reading has an award-winning and excellent bus network stopping near The Rivermoor. Most buses run late into the night. There are also several buses that run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week making it easy to get around the town.
The nearest bus stop to The Rivermoor is Norcot Junction and is served by services Sky Blue 16 and Purple 17, both operated by Reading Buses. You’ll be pleased to know that Purple 17 is one of the City’s 24-hour bus routes, so feel free to join us in The Crossbar after Kick Off.

From Reading City Centre, you can catch both the Sky Blue 16 and Purple 17 from different parts of town. When catching route Sky Blue 16 you’ll want buses heading towards Purley and if catching rout Purple 17 you’ll want buses heading towards Tilehurst Water Tower.
Both will allow you to get off at Norcot Junction

Getting here by Rail
The nearest railway stations to The Rivermoor are Reading West & Tilehurst, both of which are served by regular services operated by Great Western Railway from the much larger Reading Station.
Reading West is also served by services from destinations including Basingstoke & Newbury whilst Tilehurst is also served by services from destinations including Didcot & Oxford.
To get to The Rivermoor from Reading West Railway Station come out of the station and walk straight along the Oxford Road, you should immediately pass Lidl and McDonalds on your left-hand side. Continue straight on until you reach Reading Retail Park where you’ll find KFC, Pets at Home and Wickes which should be on your left-hand side.
Once you reach Reading Retail Park, continue straight on here, passing the parade of shops where you’ll find Coral and Val’s Cafe opposite the Shell Petrol Station, when you come to the end of this parade of shops the road will bend to the left slightly where you’ll find a zebra crossing. Cross here and then turn right before approaching another zebra crossing, Cross here and turn left. You’ll then come to Scours Lane where you’ll need to turn right and continue straight along until you reach the railway bridge, once you’ve reached the railway bridge continue under the bridge with caution as there’s no pavement and you have to share the road with vehicles. Once under the bridge The Rivermoor is to your right and clearly signed.
Alternatively, you can catch the bus to The Rivermoor with regular bus services from the stop outside McDonald’s which can be found next to Reading West station, again come out of the station and turn left. You will want to embark on either Purple 17 or Sky Blue 16 services operated by Reading Buses and disembark at Norcot Junction, the ground is then only a short walk away (follow above directions from Reading Retail Park).
Unfortunately Reading West doesn’t a have a taxi rank so if you wished to continue your journey by Taxi you would need to call one of the many private hire taxis that operate in Reading, details of which can be found easily by searching online.
From Tilehurst
Travelling to Tilehurst from Reading? Keep an eye out of the train window on the right-hand side as you’ll get a glimpse of the Rivermoor before you even arrive!
To get to The Rivermoor from Tilehurst Railway Station, you will need to leave the station and turn left. Once you’ve turned left continue straight along the Oxford Road, you’ll soon come to a Waitrose supermarket, keep going straight on until you reach Scours Lane.
Once you get to Scours Lane you’ll need to turn left down and continue straight on until you reach the railway bridge, once you’ve reached the railway bridge continue under the bridge with caution as there’s no pavement and you have to share the road with vehicles. Once under the bridge The Rivermoor is to your right and clearly signed.
Alternatively, you can catch the bus to The Rivermoor with regular services leaving from Kentwood Circle, this bus stop is a short walk from Tilehurst Railway Station, again you will need to come of the station and turn left and continue straight. Once you reach the bus stop you will want to embark on Sky Blue 16 services operated by Reading Buses and disembark at Cold Store, you’ll then need to continue straight on in the direction of travel towards Scours Lane.
Once you get to Scours Lane follow the directions above.
