Reading City Football Club are delighted to announce that The Right Worshipful Mayor of Reading, Councillor Rachel Eden has accepted our invitation to come and learn more about Reading City Football Club and will be in attendance this Saturday as we welcome Wembley Football Club to the Rivermoor, the hub of Reading’s Football Community.
To celebrate this special occasion, we are giving free entry to anyone who works in the Public Sector, just a show valid ID at the turnstiles to redeem free entry.
As usual we’ll also be giving free entry to any Reading Football Club season ticket holders, with the Royals heading to West London to face Queens Park Rangers we hope to see a few Reading fans who aren’t travelling down at the Rivermoor.
And if you don’t work in the public sector or hold a Reading Football Club season ticket, our tickets are reasonably priced at £7 Adults, £3 Concessions and Under 16s go FREE.
We hope to see as many of you as possible through the gates.

There’s a real buzz of excitement around the club at the moment as we prepare for the Mayor of Reading’s visit, we’ve got a great day planned off the pitch which will help showcase the work that we’re doing here at Reading City Football Club as whilst it may be a first team fixture, there’ll be plenty of involvement from our youth section as they are the next generation. We hope that Simon Johnson and the First Team Squad can get the right result on the pitch to round off what will be a good day.
We’ve been trying to get the mayor down to a game for a while now to showcase the work that we’re doing behind the scenes to cement our position as a club at the heart of Reading’s community and hope to have positive discussions with the mayor regarding our aspirations for the future.
We hope that as many members of the community as possible join us for this special occasion with Reading’s first Cityzen in attendance.
