Simon Johnson who has been involved with the club for seven years, having worked with the Under 6s through to the senior level, was appointed as First Team Manager on 28th November 2018 following the departure of Rob Creech.

Since beginning his tenure Simon Johnson has guided the Citizens out of the Hellenic Football League Premier Division relegation zone and following a huge transformation in the squad over the summer, the citizens are now sitting in fifth place in the Hellenic Football League Premier Division and secured the club’s first win from a penalty shootout in a decade.

Simon Johnson is supported by an experienced back room team consisting of;

Sam Woodruff – First Team Assistant Manager

Ghaffar Ghoddusi – First Team Coach

Shaun Allaway – First Team Goalkeeping Coach

Our thanks go to Simon Johnson and his backroom team and wish them and our first team the very best of luck as they continue their surge up the table.

Here’s what First Team Manager Simon Johnson had to say about celebrating a year at the helm:

“52 weeks later and we’ve gone from a team just avoiding relegation to a team currently sat in 5th. Thanks to everyone who has supported the journey so far.”
