Luka is a young, talented Midfielder who has had spells at Berks County, Maidenhead United Under 18s and Manchester University 1’s.

Luka also had the oppurtnunity to play in in the Kings World Cup 2024 in Mexico City, where he represented Medallo City.

During his time participating in the Kings World Cup he faced the legendary Francesco Totti, that definitely wasn’t on our non-league bingo card.

When we asked Luka why he signed for Reading City, he told us “I know the gaffer and he’s been begging me to sign for a year. I want to play at the highest level as I can and Reading City is a great stepping stone and club to progress with”.

We are excited to have a player of his talent join the camp as we look to push on and build on the historic success of last season.

After Luka put pen-to-paper we spoke to a jubilant Simon Johnson having finally got his man, here’s what he had to say:

“I’ve known of Luka since I helped coach him in his year 7 football team at Piggott. He was an excellent talent then and he still is now. He’s had some great experiences in football and I’m excited to see how he develops in non league after a time away at university.

He’s technically brilliant and has a real tenacity about him both in and out of possession.

He’s done well in pre season and will certainly get his opportunities this season.

Welcome Luka”
