Jake is a young, talented centre-back who has most recently played for Basingstoke Town.

Our latest arrival is a product of Basingstoke Town Football Club having come through their Academy to feature for the first team at Step 4.

After putting pen-to-paper we spoke to our new signing and when we asked him why he signed for the Cityzens his answer was “Reading City is a great club with a proven record of pushing players higher.”

We’re very excited to have a player with Jakes calibre sign for us as we look to push on and build on the historic successes of the previous campaign.

First Team Manager, Simon Johnson had this to say after acquiring his latest recruit:

“Jake is another player coming in from Basingstoke where he has represented the first team over there. He’s young and hungry and really impressed us in a short period of time. He’s an athletic defender with a great attitude and character.
