Q: Sheldon, 3-1 on the road, can you sum up your thoughts on the match today?

I don’t think the scoreline reflected the overall 90 minutes of the game. Ultimately, Westwood showed a much more clinical edge to their game than we did.

Q: Alfie Ward opened his scoring profile today with a lovely goal slotted home, breaking the deadlock for us. A fairly new player to the side, how crucial would you say he has been to the team?

Alfie is a player with loads of qualities that I admire in a footballer, and he has come in and shown the right attitude. It was nice for him to open his account and I’m sure more goals will follow.

Q: His goal was assisted by Andrew Tafeni, who set up a lovely ball through a rebounded shot. Is the dynamic within the team strong and is this a reason for the many positives we see each week?

Drew [Tafeni] has loads of ability that can always give us good momentum in the forward areas of the pitch. I am demanding of him as I believe he has the ingredients to  become a good footballer.

Q:  A more difficult second half, with the hosts finding their way back into the game. How did you encourage your team to keep their heads up and fight for the three points?

Conceding so early into the second half wasn’t ideal, which swung the momentum of the game. I felt that with good composure we could find our way back into the game.

A formation change definitely gave us a fresh look but, ultimately, our periods of dominance didn’t result in goals and Westwood showed why they are the league champions.

Q: Next up, another away match, we travel to meet with Newbury. The last tie with next week’s opposition ended in a point apiece. How are you feeling ahead of Saturday’s clash?

It’s another opportunity to put right the things we didn’t today. We rest, recover and go again next week.
